Do I need warning signs on my electric fence system?
It is a legal requirement in some countries that any electric fence systems placed near to public roads and pathways are clearly indicated by a warning sign. Attach clearly visible warning signs every 100 m or so and at entrances to paths and locations where an electric fence may not be expected carrying the phrase "Caution Electric Fence".
Attach highly visible warning signs with "Warning Electric Fence" in publically accessible places.
The electric fence signs above each have two mounting holes.
Ideally, affix the "Warning Electric Fence" signs directly to the conducting material.
Cable ties are suitable for affixing the warning signs. Wire or string can also be used. The warning signs can be attached to all types of conducting material: Electric fence polywire, cords, electric fence tape, wire, etc.
In summary: Anyone who operates an electric fence must also clearly indicate this!
