Attaching stranded wire
How do I attached the start and end of the conducting material to the insulators and electric fence posts?
Wrap or lay the start and end of the conducting material (rope, tape, stranded wire) around the start or corner insulator (Item no. 44812) ( tensioning or anchoring insulators, item no. 44723 and porcelain corner rolls, Item no. 44356 are also suitable) or through the eyelet on an electric fence post, and fix it in place using a suitable connector.
Avoid putting knots into the conducting material as this can affect the flow of current through it and can also cause material breakage. Different connectors are available depending on the conducting material chosen. Some insulators are also designed to have the conducting material attached directly to them, e.g. the Profi corner line insulator for up to 40 mm of tape (Item no. 44632).
