Products: Offset Insulators
Adviser: Offset insulators
In the same way as conducting material for electric fences, the insulators which are also required are available in various designs. Electric fence insulators vary not just in the type of conductor, but different models are also available for various different purposes. Take, for example, the practical offset insulator which is mounted at a distance to the post.
Advantages of the electric fence: Individuality, safety, flexibility and reliability
Electric fences enjoy great popularity as they ensure optimum safety and reliability. After all, they combine a mechanical barrier – the actual fence system – with an electric shock, which frightens away the animal when it comes into contact with a conductor. A further advantage of electric fences is that they are extremely flexible and can be configured for the widest variety of purposes. Whether you require a tall horse fence with a powerful energiser, a mobile fence to act as a glass fibre reinforced against wild animals, a net for small animals or low pet fencing supplied with a lower voltage for the garden, you’ll find the model you need in our online shop. The same applies to individual components of the electric fence. Numerous different energisers, fence posts, conductors and insulator models can all be ordered. In addition to traditional tape insulators, rope insulators, wire insulators and polywire insulators, offset insulators can also be purchased online. What lies behind this innovative quality product?
Offset insulators for electric fences
As you can guess from the name, these insulators are mounted at a distance from the fence posts. This is achieved thanks to their long mounting stem. Insulators with long mounting stems are also known as long-shaft insulators. They insulate effectively without being too close to the post and are thus difficult or inconvenient to access. A long-shaft ring insulator for rope, polywire, tape or wire, keeps insulation under control and ensures user-friendliness. Offset insulators for electric fences are made of voltage-resistant plastic and are mounted on a metal stake. A common feature of offset or long-shaft insulators is that they are also used to keep the animals away from the electric fence posts. This increases the service life of the electric fence. The UV- and impact-resistant long-shaft insulators are regularly used as line insulators. By relying on long-shaft fencing tape insulators or ring insulators with a snap lock you can kill several birds with one stone. Certain supports are extra-long (up to 20 cm).
